Does the XP O-Power work with switch training?

Question

I know this is an old game, and there are better ways to go about leveling up, but I'm replaying ORAS and it says the first in your party receives the boost, but does anyone know if that only means first in your party at the start of the battle, or throughout (if I'm switch training).
Sorry, I know this is a kind of old game but I was feeling nostalgic, and I'm trying to complete the Nat. Dex.

I don't see why it wouldn't work for switch training the first in your party,

It works regardless of whether you switch or simply rely on the passive Exp. Share bonus. Note that switching invariably causes the battle to take more time, which cuts into the time limit you have before the O-Power wears off.
