What is a good moveset for Indeedee?

Just a little tip: for Indeedee movesets that don't specify which gender of Indeedee it is, just copy/paste the moveset and import it to Showdown! using the Import Button. For male Indeedee, just copy/paste the set to Showdown and click "Save" and it will make Indeedee male. If you import a set and want to use Indeedee-F, just add -F to the end of Indeedee so it would look like Indeedee-F, then click "Save" and it will make the Indeedee female.

Here is a attack heavy Indeedee set. Terrain Extender is a useful item since Psychic Surge will last longer. Psychic is a nice, consistent move, or you could run Stored Power; whichever you prefer. Energy Ball is solid too but you could also run Shadow Ball. Mystical Fire is to be expected since it is pretty fire.

You can also consider Expanding Force over Stored Power or Psychic, since it gets boosted in Psychic Terrain.

Expanding Force is even stronger in Psychic Terrain, and Indeedee can summon Psychic Terrain, so yeah. Expanding Force and Hyper Voice for STAB. Mystical Fire is steel coverage. Trick to get rid of the Choice Specs.

Indeedee-Male was quickbanned and is currently being suspect tested in Gen 9 NU at the time of this post, so I'll be posting a few sets Indeedee-Male can use during the suspect test period.

This is a Choice Specs set that immediately gives Indeedee's attacks more power. Psyshock is used for the Psychic STAB since it allows Indeedee to hit specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Muk. Dazzling Gleam allows Indeedee to hit Dark-types such as Zoroark, Mabosstiff, Bombirdier, Cacturne, Spritomb, and Cacturne. Psychic is used for a stronger Psychic STAB that is useful against physically defensive Pokemon such as Sandaconda and Vaporeon. Tera Blast is used if you use if you use Tera Fighting as the Tera Type to give Indeedee a move to hit Pokemon such as Assault Vest Perrserker and Tera Steel Eelektross. Tera Blast also serves as a Normal STAB pre Tera. Healing Wish can be used to heal up a teammate. Trick allows Indeedee to cripple Pokemon such as Chansey by giving them its Choice Specs to lock them into one move.

Tera Fairy is used to turn the tables against Dark-types by giving Indeedee a stronger Dazzling Gleam and a resist to Dark moves. Tera Fighting is used if you use Tera Blast to hit Steel-types such as Magneton, Assault Vest Perrserker, and Tera Steel Eelektross. Tera Psychic is an option to give Indeedee's Psychic STAB more power on top of the boosts from Choice Specs and Psychic Terrain from Psychic Surge. Tera Psychic boosting Indeedee's Psychic STAB is useful against Pokemon who resist/tank Psychic moves, as shown in the following calcs:

This is a 4 attacks Choice Specs set it you want to use Indeedee-F in NU. Realistically, you are almost never going to click Hyper Voice. So, why not replace Hyper Voice with a coverage move? That's what this set does. It has a coverage move instead of Hyper Voice. Expanding Force is strong STAB during Psychic Terrain. Shadow Ball provides coverage against Heatproof Bronzong and if you want, Xatu. Mystical Fire allows you to deal with steel types like Escavalier. Dazzling Gleam allows you to deal super effective damage against Guzzlord. You can use Modest Nature instead of Timid Nature if your team has good speed control.

Indeedee-F is a Pokemon that appreciates Bronzong rising to RU, as now you don't have to slot Shadow Ball for Heatproof Bronzong, and now there aren't any Steel-types in the tier that are nuetral to Mystical Fire. This is a Two Attacks + Trick + Healing Wish set. Very surprised that no one has posted an Indeedee-F set that has Healing Wish yet.

Expanding Force is incredibly strong Psychic STAB and you'll most likely be spamming this move often. Mystical Fire allows you to damage Copperajah and Escavalier. Trick allows you to screw up defensive Pokemon and Pokemon like Snorlax, as with Choice Scarf they'll be locked into one move. Healing Wish provides really good utility for your team, especially late-game, as it can give wallbreakers on your team another chance to sweep.

This is a good competitive Indeedee set, Psychic Seed will work completely fine and even Red Card could work because Indeedee is a support Pokemon. Psychic, Energy Ball and Play Rough can be useful if Indeedee needs to pack a punch.

Why Play Rough when Dazzling Gleam exists? Indeedee can't do any good physical damage, so DGleam could replace PRough. Why Own Tempo over Psychic Surge? It instantly sets up Psychic Terrain, so you don't have to waste a moveslot.

Well, Indeedee-Male gets Healing Wish in Gen 9, so now Indeedee-Male can also use Scarf Healing Wish just like its female counterpart. Choice Scarf allows Indeedee-Male to serve as a revenge killer. Psyshock is used as the Psychic STAB since it doesn't have Expanding Force in Gen 9 and allows Indeedee to hit specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Muk. Dazzling Gleam lets Indeedee pick off Dark-types such as Cacturne, Mabosstiff, Bombirdier, Umbreon, Zoroark, and Spiritomb. Trick allows Indeedee to cripple passive Pokemon such as Chansey to make them less problematic for Indeedee and its teammates. Healing Wish is useful to give wallbreakers on your team a second chance to wallbreak, as well as healing up defensive Pokemon. Tera Fairy is used to give Indeedee a Dark resist as well as more power to Dazzling Gleam.

A Calm Mind set Indeedee-Male can use in Gen 9 NU. Psyshock is used as the Psychic STAB to hit Pokemon with a high special defense such as Chansey and Muk. Calm Mind lets Indeedee-Male boost its Special Attack and Special Defense stats, making it a potent breaker. Draining Kiss is used as the Fairy move since it also allows Indeedee to recover HP. Substitute allows Indeedee to scout opposing Pokemon and potentially dodge status conditions such as paralysis and poison. Encore can be used instead of Substitute to lock Pokemon into one move, which is useful to give Indeedee setup opportunities vs passive Pokemon. Tera Fairy is used as the Tera type to turn Indeedee's Dark weakness into a resist. Tera Fairy also makes Draining Kiss' base power go from 50 to 60, as well as having a x2 STAB boost. Heavy-Duty Boots is used as the item to prevent Indeedee from being chipped by hazards.

With Male Indeedee back in NU, it now takes the role of the Psychic Terrain setter instead of the female Indeedee since it has access to both Encore and Healing Wish. Plus, of the two Indeedee forms, only the Male one has access to Expanding Force, so... yeah. This set should be used on Psychic Terrain teams.

Expanding Force is used as a powerful Psychic STAB when Psychic Terrain is active, which is activated via Psychic Surge. Tera Blast is used as the Normal STAB since it lets Indeedee have a secondary STAB move before and after Tera. With Tera Fighting, Tera Blast becomes a Fighting move, giving Indeedee coverage against Registeel, Copperajah, Duraludon, and Scraftry. Encore allows Indeedee stop setup sweepers from trying to setup, which helps to give you a free switch to one of your teammates. Healing Wish is nice utility that lets Indeedee heal up a weakened offensive Pokemon so it can break through teams both early and late game at the cost of sacrificing Indeedee. Terrain Extender is used to extend the turns Psychic Terrain has.
