Persian @ Choice Band / Amulet Coin
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Aerial Ace
- Power Gem
- Pay Day / Last Resort

Fake out (STAB, hits first, and 100% flinch)
Aerial Ace (in case of any Fighting-types)
Power Gem
Pay day (get a few extra bucks ) / Last Resort

Okay so if your using Persian it’s probably because you like it, it’s not the best Pokémon but it’s okay. Fake Out is a good STAB that goes first and has 100% flinch with the Technician trait and Choice Band its even better. Aerial Ace explains itself, its good in case you run into any Fighting-types. Power Gem is coverage. Last but not least Pay Day / Last Resort, Pay day is Meowth / Persian signature move and it gets you 500 pokedollars (1000 if it’s holding an Amulet Coin) but only works if you win and you only get money if your playing against a AI, so if you are looking for competitive, an alternative is Last Resort it does 140 damage with 100% accuracy but you have to have used your 3 other moves for it to work.

Can you get money in competitive?
First off sadly no you can only get a max of 500 pokedollars (1000, if your pokemon is holding an amulet coin) I believe you can only get coins by battling AI’s and if you win, but a alternative move is “last resort” 140 damage with 100% accuracy but you had had to used your other 3 moves on your Pokémon. In fact I better add this info to my set.

Persian @ Life Orb / Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice / Round
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Icy Wind

Nasty Plot is necessary to boost Persian's pitiful Special Attack stat. Hyper Voice or Round are Normal STAB, Round boosted by Technician. Thunderbolt is coverage, Icy Wind is an 82.5 Base Power move when boosted by Technician and lowers Speed, severely crippling potential switch-ins.

If you are going to make a Persian set, why not give it a Gen I set?

Persian
Gen I UU

Slash

Persian
- Slash
- Bubblebeam
- Thunderbolt
- Hyper Beam

The strategy is to abuse of persian high speed and use STAB Slash, you will land crits every time
Bubblebeam will destroy almost any rock type that gets on your way
Thunderbolt will take care of Kabutops and Omastar since Bubblebeam does neutral damage to them
Hyper Beam in RBY is a fantastic move, due to it not needing to recharge if you K.O. the opponent

Meowth @ Eviolite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature / Jolly Nature
- Shadow Claw
- Play Rough / U-turn
- Gunk Shot
- Foul Play

Meowth looks cooler than Persian

Change my mind
