Is it true that some pokemon level up faster than others ???

I got a kirlia and it seems to level up really slowly

Yes it is true some level up very fast so if yours is slow I reccomend using lucky eggs and this will speed the process up yo can see details on serbii.net and clicking on the pokemon you want and go down and it will show you medium fast and slow and very slow hoped this helped

The reason is different pokemon species require different amount of xp points to level up.
Two kirlias will take the same amount of xp but a kirlia and a torchic may take different amount of xp .

The best example , after training a rayquaza to lv 100 , xp to current level is 1250000 and a blaziken is 1000000 .
