If it does more damage will it do more recoil damage?

Yes, the damage(recoil) received on your Pokemon is based on how much damage you've dealt to the opposing Pokemon. The more damage you do, the more recoil you receive, either 1/4 of the damage dealt, or 1/3 depending on the move. In High Jump Kick/Jump Kick, crash damage is their special factor of recoil, losing half of your health the times you miss with the move(Applies when used on a Ghost Type, or if used if the opposing Pokemon uses a Protecting move.)

Also, don't forget that some, like Double-Edge, have 1/3 recoil.
