What tree do I put the honey on?

in black and white, the first one at least, the description for honey says that it attracts wild Pokemon when you use it on grass, in caves, and on special trees. I have put the honey on practically every tree in white forrest and a bunch of random trees, but the honey never works. what trees are you supposed to use it on and where are they?

Only in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum can you slather certain trees with Honey. In Generation V, you can only use Honey while standing in grass, in a cave or surfing on water, and you do it just by going into your items and selecting "use" on the Honey.

Slathering Honey on trees is a feature that's so far unique to the Generation IV Sinnoh games. There's no way to do that in Generation V.

Yours was fine; it just didn't say that Honey on trees was exclusion to Gen IV, so I thought I'd add that.
