Jellicent Staller

Jellicent # Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Water Absorb / Cursed Body
~ 252 HP EVs / 200 Sp Def / 58 Sp Atk EVs

With a great amount of HP, Jellicent can become a great staller! Some people may want Water Spout rather than Brine because they think they can use Recover and Leftovers to recover HP to ready Water Spout's power, but face reality. Do you really think your opponent will give you a good chance to have high HP to take a Water Spout? The turn you heal, will be the turn they attack! Brine is good to finish off foes after being weakened from STAB Shadow Balls. Recover is there for the obvious reason to stall stall stall! Taunt is so that no foe will be able to mess up your stalling, like with Toxic, Leech Seed, or even a Taunt of their own! Protect is another option to stall efficiently along with a free turn of Leftys. You could even Taunt, than Protect just to mess with them! Woohoo!

Rather dissapointing to see 16 jellicent movesets but non being scarfed.
This guy hits like a truck in rain with stabs and boosts.

Jellicent (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
*- Shadow Ball
- Water Spout
- Scald
- Ice Beam

This guy is beast in rain as its Water Spouts not only get stab but also a rain boost making it do the equivalent to super effective damage on neutral Pokemon.

I recomend you use this guy in rain, not as much out of rain but in my opinion this Pokemon with this set is one of the best revenge killers in Ou and I know Hex will agree.

I say full Speed EVs, so it can outspeed more. 360 Spd is nothing to play around with.

Alright so I didn't see this set on here already, and I have spent all morning trolling people with it. This set supprts teams very well by spreading burns and shutting down opposing walls/stallers. Also, the EVs give Jellicent excellent mixed bulk, and the small speed investment allows Recover, Taunt, and Will-O-Wisp to be put to better use. Jellicent is quite possibly one of the trolliest bulky water types out there, and it serves to be a pain in the behind for quite a lot of things.

Like a sir :3 (Jellicent) @ Leftovers

Trait: Water Aborb/Cursed Body
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Shadow Ball/Scald
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp

Recovery is for recovering, Shadow Ball is the attack of choice unless you are running it in the rain, Taunt screws oposing Blisseys, Ferrothorns, and other walls, while Will-O-Wisp cripples things such as Scizor, Toxicroak, and other physical sweepers.

Gen 8 NU

Jellicent
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Strength Sap

With Glastrier and Entei being in NU, this thing has gotten better. Scald is STAB that has a 30% chance to burn opposing Pokémon. Taunt stops Pokémon from using status moves and can stop Glastrier from getting up a Substitute. Toxic is to poison Pokémon. Strength Sap is for healing that can help you to beat Pokémon like Copperajah. 252 HP EVs help you to take hits. 80 Speed EVs allow you to outspeed Vaporeon. The rest of the EVs are in defense.

Any item?
That's probably for Knock Off and Poltergeist users.
Yes, it's itemless to help with Knock Off and Poltergeist users.
fair enough :]
I guess you should mention why there’s no item..

Jellicent Quiet nature. EVs 252 Sp.Atk, 160 HP, 96 Def. Item Life Orb. Ability Water Absorb.

Trick Room, Allows Jellicent to outspeed things.

Hydro Pump, Strong STAB move.

Ice Beam, Covers Grass Type Weakness as well as annoying dragons who think they can come on and recist the water type STAB.

Shadow Ball, Covers Ghost type weakness STAB.

Life Orb Jellicent can actually dish out some decent damage, some of the life orb recoil can be healed by Water Absorb once in a while.

Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers

Role: Tank

Trait: Water Absorb

EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 48 SAtk / 8 SDef

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

  • Recover
  • Hydro Pump
  • Sludge Bomb
  • Hex

Tankin like a boss!

Hydro Pump just says it all, He doesn't have that natural brute power to use anything else, Hydro Pump just works.

Recover is pretty obvious, it keeps him alive.

Sludge Bomb is Grass Coverage, And used to try to Poison the opponent so that...

Hex does more damage, with Sludge Bomb Poisoning support.

lol this is very similar to my set on my Jellicent on White, Great set.
Thanks, Using this makes me feel like a Tentacruel with Recover, and some beastly STAB move.

Jellicent - Ghost/Water
Calm (+SpDef, -Atk)
EVs (252 HP, 220 SpDef, 36 Def)
Item: What you feel best suits it. Probably Leftovers.
Ability: Water Absorb

Mess with this Jelly and you will get burned.

Scald - Stab, burns target (30%)

Will-O-Wisp/Toxic - 100% Burn or Poison - if scalds not burning, something has to work.

Recover - Heal

Hex - Stab, covers ghost weakness, Doubles damage due to Will-O-Wisp or Scald

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability- Water Absorb
Nature- Bold
EVs- 252 HP/ 220 Def./ 36 Sp. Def.
Moves
- Scald
- Protect
- Recover
- Toxic
Toxic Poisons the foe, then alternate between the other three moves depending on how hard the opposing Pokemon hits you. I've tried it out and it works OK. You can also just scald if you want the burn on a physical attacker.

Jellicent @ leftovers

Nature: Bold
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP, 200 sp. def, 56 def

Will-o-wisp/Scald
Hex
Recover/Giga Drain
Ice Beam

The point of this set is to slowly drive the opponent down on HP while trying to keep as much HP as possible. Burn as soon as possible, if fired typed just scald away. Hex for extra damage; Giga Drain and Recover to keep the HP up; Ice Beam for coverage.

Well this is gen 6 and Jellicent can't wall anything cause of Knock Off and the EV spreads and abilities are wrong on other offensive Jellicents so...

LIKE A MAN

Jellicent @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Water Spout
- Shadow Ball
- Surf / Scald
- Ice Beam / Energy Ball

Second best user of Water Spout because Water Absorb can heal it.

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Trait: Cursed Body
Nature: Bold (+ Def, - Atk)
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 4 Def
Moveset:
- Scald
- Shadow Ball/Hex
- Recover
- Ice Beam

Explanation: Scald is STAB and has a 30% chance of burning. Shadow Ball is also STAB but if Scald manages to burn your target (which is quite rare), then Hex will have a BP of 130, significantly higher than that of Shadow Ball. However, I still prefer Shadow Ball for consistency. Recover is to well, recover HP when Jellicent gets hit hard. Ice Beam is there for coverage against Flying, Ground, Grass and Dragon, especially if you don't have an Ice type.

Extra: I personally think the Will-o-wisp + Hex combo takes up one turn to set up and what if the opponent has an ability like Flame Body, or simply switches out, so I don't like it that much.

Gen 8 Doubles UU

Jellicent @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Water Spout
- Shadow Ball / Ice Beam
- Strength Sap

Trick Room setter and sweeper. You'll want Follow Me support so you can saftley set up Trick Room. Water Spout is STAB and has lots of power when at full HP. Shadow Ball is also STAB. Ice Beam can be used instead if you want to hit grass and dragon types super effectively. Strength Sap is for healing and can cripple physical attackers.

Jellyfish VGC

Jellicent @ Choice Scarf / Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Bold Nature
EVs: 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
- Recover / Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Water Spout
- Will-O-Wisp / Sludge Bomb

Will o wisp to burn and cripple psychical attackers, shadow ball for stab, recover for longevity and water spout to do massive damage as a lead. Water spout is the main part of this set with tailwind support this thing probably would take out the first two Pokemon plus being immune to incineroar's fake out is nice

Recover with Choice Scarf?
Will-o-wisp with CS?
