If you have a good competitive moveset for Cryogonal, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

PU Hazard Clearer/ Specially Defensive Toxic user

Cryogonal @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 52 SpD / 200 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Freeze Dry / Ice Beam
- Toxic

Pretty self-explanatory set. EVs maximize Bulk as well as making sure it can outspeed some things. Recovery to stay in longer, Toxic to inflict status and Freeze Dry or Ice Beam as an attacking move. Your choice. Never use this against Steel Types, or Physical Attackers.

I've used this set in Gen 8 Random Battles. It's really good.
My inspiration right there.
What Nature?
Shoot.  My bad.

Alternative Sunny Cryogonal:

ColdSummer (Cryogonal) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Signal Beam
- SolarBeam
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Ice Beam is your STAB. F***s Venusaurs really easy. HP Fire is boosted in the Sun, and it gets Great coverage, including his Steel weakness. Solarbeam abuses the sunlight and covers Rocks, Ices and Waters that he'd otherwise have trouble taking down. Besides, It's SOLARBEAM. Almost every good Special Attacker in the Sun has it that can learn it. Signal Beam is Dark and Psychic coverage, although you don't often see that in weather...

Gen 8: Screen Setter

Cryogonal @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Ice Beam
- Light Screen / Reflect / Rapid Spin
- Reflect / Light Screen / Rapid Spin

T-pose at your opposing team's Special Attacking lead early with that chonky base 135 Sp. Def. It should either A) allow you to survive or B) force a switch, either of which will enable you to set up a screen. Rapid Spin is available for you if you wish to clear hazards. Its two main offensive moves have been added for good measure.

Man, for something that's supposed to be hard and crystalline, Cryogonal's physically pathetic.

SpD Cryogonal Set

Cryogonal @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Acid Armor
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Flash Cannon

This is a bit of a test moveset I came up with. This involves more Def with recover and leftovers. Ice beam is also a wonderful ice move to use along with Flash cannon another strong attack.

Poor Cryogonal, it looks like it lost its best friend, Pokemon save, and its spot in RU.

Cryogonal @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog / Rapid Spin
- Freeze-Dry / Ice Beam
- Knock Off / Flash Cannon
- Recover

Cryogonal's utility is primarily for clearing hazards for its team members. Defog and Rapid Spin are used to remove hazards, either one you used is based on if you need to remove either screens, or if you don't want to remove your own hazards. Freeze-Dry is your STAB, but Ice Beam is a higher base power move, but loses its effectiveness to Water types. Rather then dealing damage, Knock Off is used simply for removing the opponents items, and Flash Cannon is for coverage. Recover is for recovering health. Heavy-Duty Boots allows for safe switch-ins so Cryogonal won't take heavy damage for Stealth Rocks, but you may want to use Leftovers for gradual healing.

Gen 9 NU Rapid Spin

Cryogonal @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def or SpD / 160 Spe
Timid Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Haze / Flash Cannon

Well, August tier shifts came out, and NU has been blessed with a good Rapid Spinner in Cryogonal. Cryogonal is a Rapid Spinner that can beat Sandaconda, which is pretty nice. It also has decent Special Defense to check Special wallbreakers in the tier.

Freeze-Dry is used for the Ice STAB since it hits Water-types such as Qwilfish, Bruxish, Clawitzer, Floatzel, and Samurott super effectively. Rapid Spin is used to clear away hazards on your side of the field without removing your own, which is nice for hazard stack teams. Recover is used to recover HP so Cryogonal can stay in longer. Haze allows Cryogonal to remove the stat boosts from setup sweepers such as Oricorio and Dudunsparce. Flash Cannon can be used to allow Cryogonal to hit Ice-types such as opposing Cryogonal, Froslass, Glaceon, and Avalugg super effectively. I chose Tera Steel for the Tera to stunt on Sandaconda using a Rock move to hit Cryogonal, though there are some other Tera Types that can work for this set. Heavy-Duty Boots is used to prevent Cryogonal from being chipped by Stealth Rock pre Tera.

248 HP EVs are used for bulk. 160 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allow Cryogonal to outspeed non Choice Scarf Bruxish and Timid Oricorio that hasn't used Quiver Dance. The remaining EVs can be used in either Defense or Special Defense, depending on wheter you want to give Cryogonal some physical bulk or make Cryogonal take special hits better.

Gen 9 NU Offensive Rapid Spin

Cryogonal @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel / Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Flash Cannon / Tera Blast
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

This Rapid Spin Cryogonal set for NU takes a more offensive approach rather than a defensive one in order to do more damage to opposing Pokemon. Freeze-Dry is the Ice STAB on this set since it allows Cryogonal to hit Water-types such as Samurott, Bruxish, and Qwilfish super effectively. Flash Cannon is used for a nice coverage move against Ice-types such as opposing Cryogonal, Avalugg, and Froslass. If you use Flash Cannon, use Tera Steel to make Flash Cannon a STAB move in addition to giving Cryogonal the ability to wall Sandaconda. Tera Blast is used alongside Rock as the Tera Type to give Cryogonal the STAB combination of Aurorus, which is useful against mentioned Ice-types, Articuno due to its 4x rock weakness if it hasn't used its Tera, and Pyroar. Rapid Spin allows Cryogonal to clear away hazards on its side of the field. Recover is used since it is Cryogonal's reliable form of HP recovery.
